Black Stork Study and Impact of Wind Farms

For the past two years, Ecofirst developed specific expertise in the wind energy sector, regularly assisting French operators with independent expert assessments and literature reviews on the actual impact of wind energy projects on black storks.

As part of these expert assessments, Ecofirst analyzes documents provided by wind farm operators, such as initial environmental reports, impact studies, inventory protocols specific to black storks, expert opinions, etc. These analyses are supplemented by a study of the environmental context of the project areas and by experience gained through the monitoring of individuals equipped with GPS tags, in order to formulate substantiated conclusions on the potential impacts of the projects on black storks.
