Ecofirst has been providing training sessions on acoustic bat identification for environmental professionals for several years. Our goal is to support people who work in consulting firms, wildlife researchers, freelancers, scientists, naturalist associations, natural area managers, civil servants responsible for evaluating studies, etc. in their learning process of sound analysis and to give them the tools to improve their practices.

These sessions cover the various techniques for identifying bat species based on their echolocation calls, as well as teaching participants how to use the various tools (detectors, analysis software, pre-sorting mills) and study protocols.

Our expertise for this project:

  • Training supervision: JF. Godeau and P. Nyssen
  • Organization, registration management: P. Nyssen
  • Billing and administrative matters: C. Rinen
