(FR) Secondary forest species of forest edges: multiplication trials in the framework of the LIFE Elia project

The LIFE Elia-RTE project aimed to transform the forest rights-of-way of high-voltage power line routes into ecological corridors. One of the actions is the (re)creation of structured forest edges using indigenous secondary species. Successful experiments were carried out to produce young plants into home-made nurseries, given the non-availability of certain secondary species in nurseries and the desire to reduce planting costs. Efficient methods of multiplication of these plants was developed from seeds of controlled origin.
